Miami Days and Nights at Alden Park

After an amazing $70+ million restoration, historic Alden Park’s ready to party this weekend!

CHECK IN NOW for the most epic party to hit East Falls in forevaaaaah!

For the first time ever, this local architectural wonderland opens its doors to the public for a full day of sunning, swimming & exploring the grounds and towers with family-friendly local vendors & attractions.

After dark, the spectacular Art Deco indoor pool lights up — the retractable roof rolls back — for an Adult Swim under the stars, in a setting that Sandy Smith of PhillyMag.com called “without a doubt the most photogenic apartment buildings in the city.”  Cuban food, music, dancing, and more.

**FREE ADMISSION**

Party starts at noon Saturday July 22nd with the grand opening of Alden Park’s new outdoor pool and gardens. Open swim all day for residents and neighbors. Pull up a lounge chair or BYOBlanket to spread out on the lawn. Daytime Local Food Fest, plus crafts, retail, and even fashions by local designers. Classic cars, too, with Roxborough Ridge Runners!

Escape the heat with a tour of Alden Park’s remarkable 1920’s architecture — the buildings are listed on the National Register of Historical Places, and include vintage details like carved wood, brass chandeliers, crystal doorknobs… Historian & author Joseph Minardi (Germantown Historical Society) will make sure we hit all the highlights.

As the sun sets, “South Beach” comes alive in the most beautiful pool in Philadelphia, an Art Deco dream with marble columns and original Mercer tile in vibrant shades of turquoise. South Beach-style dj to keep the place jumping.

Beer garden by Murphy’s Irish Saloon featuring beer from Wissahickon Brewing Company. Cuban menu by Marvin Graaf, owner of the Grain Exchange, Pizzeria Nonna & Falls Taproom. Mojitos, sangria, and punch, too.

And a cigar bar! Kick back and enjoy Wissahickon views with one of SMOKE Manayunk‘s premium cigars selected with Miami in mind. Rum flights, too, by Plantation Distillery.

Wear your whites or bust out the Miami Vice pastels, and get into the spirit of this exotic, unforgettable adventure in our own backyard.

PLEASE RSVP to get on the list for a pre-party email with schedule/site map, directions, parking/Uber info, plus links to reserve your Goodie Bag and sign up for food/drink deals, attractions, and more.

This party is gonna be off the hook!

We can tell because we’ve been here before. In 2013, we celebrated the restoration of a 19th century brewer’s mansion with a bash that featured a local Big Band singer in his 90’s and a pre-Prohibition lager recreated from recipes by the house’s original owner.

Castle on Tap, October 2016

Last year, we hosted Oktoberfest at a Victorian boathouse off Kelly Drive where families enjoyed a buffet & craft beer garden with free rides down a 100+ year old wooden slide restored for the occasion.

We’re thrilled to present another historical party that celebrates neighbors and local business!
