Good Vibrations at Falls Center

Yoga, reiki, and chakra-based movement for peace and vitality. Acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine balance and restore energy.

Mishana is a yoga studio and a wellness space opening November 1st in The Preston at Falls Center. Residents and neighbors enjoy unique yoga classes, which can combine dance, movement, and energy manipulation.  Reiki, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, too. Meet the magnetic women of Mishana Yoga…

Mary “Mare Bear” DiMeglio is a lifelong dancer, yogini, and global explorer. During backpacking adventures in South America & Asia, she discovered the healing power of music and dance. A month-long immersion at the historic Esalen Institute became the first step in a fulfilling journey that led her to become a certified teacher of SpiritDance SoulSong, a chakra-based movement meditation practice that uses dance, breath, sound, and song as a path to joy, healing, self-expression, and radiant health.

She’s also a Yoga Alliance-registered Teacher (500 hours), Certified Life Coach, and Reiki Master, educated in San Diego and Baja, Mexico. She’s also certified to teach Yoga for Recovery with Transformation Yoga Project. Mishana Yoga & Wellness also offers Reiki, acupuncture, deep tissue therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, life coaching, and more.

“I’m thrilled to guide you to wellness through the world’s oldest spiritual practices,” Mare says, “And to support you in discovering and living your purpose and your bliss.” Speak of bliss — Mare’s a big fan of the band MINKA, who played this year’s EFtoberfest. While Mare was out here cheering on her friend Dick Rubin, she led a balancing contest for kids and helped hand out prizes, too. “I’m open to every opportunity to connect with the community,” she told us.

Mare is also delighted to offer acupuncture and herbal medicine at her studio with Dawn Webster, L. OM (PA) L. AC (NJ) Dipl OM. Dawn has completed a 3400-hour program in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinse Medicine at Yo San University in Los Angeles (founded by 38th generation practitioners). Dawn also has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental geology and music performance from Rutgers and Temple Universities. She sees clients here in East Falls, and also in Northern Liberties and Lafayette Hill — plus community acupuncture at Philly’s oldest CA clinic.

FUN FACT: Dawn occasionally tours with West Philadelphia Orchestra, and has hiked the famous Appalachian trail (and many others). She’s looking forward to bringing her restorative and energizing services to East Falls and nearby Northwest Philly neighborhoods.

And introducing the newest member of Mishana’s team, Carly Brand, a licensed physical therapist assistant. Carly integrates bodywork and passive stretching with energy healing and empathy. She’s offering deep tissue therapies to promote healing, boost immunity, condition muscles, and support overall well-being.

Reach out to Mare and Dawn online or make an appointment to stop by Mishana’s brand new studio at The Preston.

Why Vinyl? Analog produces a greater spectrum of sound frequencies: vinyl just “feels” better than digital. Good music can be such a joyful, immersive, full-body experience when combined with focused movement and breathing!  $10 (cash preferred, Venmo or Paypay). Free parking garage.
