RESCUE ME: Can You Bisou?

This shepherd mix was dubbed “Kissy Face” by the intake volunteer who fell for her super sweet disposition. Fostered in the Falls, she’s now seeking a forever home for all the love she has to give.

When “Kissy Face” arrived at a shelter after being hit by a car, Big Fluffy Dog Rescue was asked to take her into their organization where they could get her the emergency surgery she needed for a fractured pelvis. The vet felt such a lovely dog deserved a more fitting name, so he came up with “Bisou” — french for “kiss.”

Bisou is currently being fostered right here in East Falls — she’s all healed up and seeking a home where her sunny spirit and loving disposition will bring joy. “She loves kids of all ages and is amazing with other dogs,” his foster mom Tanya told us.

She’s a German Shepherd/Husky mix, just a smidge over a year old and still a puppy at heart. She’s spayed, housebroken, and learning to walk nicely on her leash. For fun, she enjoys wrestling with her other foster brother, Nicko, or her humans (when they’re up for it!).

Because of her pedigree, she’s seeking a house without cats or small, furry critters because she tends to think those are really fun to chase, even though her foster mom has been working hard trying to teach her some control.

Also typical of both her Husky and Shepherd lineage, she is quick to bark a warning if she sees a stranger or possible intruder in “her” yard. And, yes, she likes to “talk” to her family in that special way that only Huskies can.

She’s well-mannered, friendly, and pretty darn adorable. Her favorite things? Snacks and snuggles! She’s young and ready to learn what it takes to adapt to practically any lifestyle. (ed note: As the owners of a big, fluffy dog ourselves, we can enthusiastically recommend their charms!) She’s super smart and highly-treat motivated! “I think she would be amazing with agility or obedience trials,” Tanya added.
