Yes there was glitter! This summer, Koco Nails on Ridge Ave created the ultimate weekend adventure for five fabulous girls with style (and entrepreneurial spirit).

The incomparable Onisha Claire – owner of Koco Nails and also Bossy Brows in Bala Cynwyd – created, organized, and led a full weekend schedule that explored color and trends, botanic ingredients, even nail and skincare for the most discerning and impeccable fashionistas. O gave us her recap from the very first Camp Koco last August 17 & 18:
We had so much fun! I designed activities that taught them how to create their own beauty products from scratch and mixed that in with quick games to foster interaction and movement. Not one child used their phone the first day!!!
The kids were very engaged in all of the activities but I found myself so impressed with the nail polish colors that they created! I gave them three primary colored nail polishes to create a color wheel and from there they designed their own original nail polish colors… I was seeing dynamic blues and purples, it was amazing!
by the time we did nail art these girls were pros!? as I think their favorite thing was really the glitter….lol. These glitter nail polishes were sparkling EVERYWHERE! but we also made Unicorn butter! A shea-based body cream with colorful body sparkles…we hand-blended and they added their own essential oils. But the sparkle!! OMG!
I will do it again! I’m considering a fall/winter camp for One day focusing on creating 1 or 2 products. And I’m also toying with the idea of hosting workshops for adults.
