Live radio plays: Mothman and The Love Nest

April 29 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

In West Virginia folklore, the Mothman is a legendary creature reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area from November 12, 1966, to December 15, 1967. The first newspaper report was published in the Point Pleasant Register dated November 16, 1966, titled “Couples See Man-Sized Bird … Creature … Something.”

The national press soon picked up the reports and helped spread the story across the United States. An original radio play relating to the above phenomenon will be performed live. Come hear a creepy show based on the local legend complete with sound effects and versatile voice actors.

The Love Nest
An adaptation of the Ring Lardner short story “The Love Nest” (originally aired 1933 concerns an interview with a fallen starlet who gives the performance of her life expressing the anguish that afflicts aging actresses) rounds out the evening’s entertainment.
