Farmers’ Market @ Market Square
September 20 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 3:00pm on Thursday, repeating until October 25, 2018
- Zookie’s Produce. Fresh produce, Amish baked goods, jams, jellies and preserves.
- Cooking demos by The Food Trust nutrition educators.
- Ashbell’s Smokehouse Deli. Smoked meats & fish.
- Weavers Way Co-op. Baked bread, nuts, dried food, coffee and other dry packaged food.
The Food Trust’s nutrition educators will also be hosting cooking demonstrations at themarket. Every participant in these interactive demonstrations will get to sample the prepared dish and receive $4 in Philly Food Bucks to spend on local produce at the farmers market.
Market vendors are giving out (and accepting) Philly Food Bucks — $5 worth of SNAP gets you a $2 voucher to spend on produce. They are also available at the Weavers Way Farm Market at Saul High School (noon-7 p.m. Tuesday and Friday). It’s a good way to make produce more affordable.
Cash, SNAP/ACCESS cards, Philly Food Bucks and WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers
